Goal and agenda

Sinergija University has been a member of the Oracle Academy since 2016, when it has been implementing the course program “Oracle Database Design and Programming with SQL” as part of extracurricular activities. The training lasts 10 weeks for 60 hours.

The goal of the course is for students to learn to analyze complex business scenarios and create data models, to learn the basics of database design, development and normalization, as well as to gain practical knowledge of the SQL language using the Oracle Application Express (APEX) tool.

Who is the course intended for?

The course is intended for students who have successfully passed the Database exam, and in this way they have the opportunity to obtain the official certificate of the Oracle company.

Admission requirements and certification, titles to be obtained

The student is obliged to follow the lectures, learn through the iLearning platform, take exams on the computer and defend the project in the classroom. Lectures will be held once a week for one hour. The aim of the lecture is to make it easier for students to follow the material and pass the exam through the iLearning platform. At the beginning of the summer semester, students will be informed about the lecture schedule. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Sinergija are exempted from payment of compensation for the course.

According to the course agenda, the student takes two exams (Mid Term Exam and Final Exam) on the computer in each semester. Exams must be passed by a certain date in order for the student to continue with the course. After passing the theoretical parts, the students in the team work on the project according to the set criteria and defend the project before the Commission. After a successfully defended project, students obtain an official Oracle Academy certificate. The acquired title is “Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert”.

Application of the course in the economy

Oracle Corporation is a leader in the development of software solutions for information management (Information Management, IM) and since its creation (1977) until today it represents the basis on which the leading information systems that are used in various industries are developed. Students with an Oracle certificate can work in database administration and development jobs in any branch of business.

After completing the training in the period from April 3 to 7, 2017. held by MikroTik Academy coordinator Sašo Jordaki, and successfully passed certification exams by the teaching staff of Sinergija University, MikroTik Academy was formed.

After completing the training, all candidates have the opportunity to take the exam for the MTCNA certificate (MikroTik Certified Network Associate). MTCNA is a globally recognized and recognizable certificate of knowledge and skills in the field of management and configuration of wireless and wired networks based on RouterOS. It is a basic certificate that can later be a starting point for further training and taking advanced MikroTik certificates

(MTCRE, MTCINE, MTCWE, MTCTCE, MTCUME)

Who is the academy for?

Sinergia University is a member of the MSDN AA program. MSDN AA (Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance) is a program primarily intended for students of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics for the purposes of teaching and research in the field of computer technology and information systems. As a member of the program, the Faculty is subscribed to the use of Microsoft platforms and servers, as well as development tools. Faculty and students may download the licensed software to install on their computers. It should be emphasized that these software packages can be used exclusively for educational and research purposes.

Teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Sinergija are exempted from payment of compensation for the course.

The Cisco network academy of Sinergija University was founded with the aim of enabling students to acquire the most up-to-date knowledge in the field of computer telecommunications.

Who is the course intended for?

Courses at the Cisco Network Academy of Sinergija University are primarily intended for senior students of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, as well as for graduate students who want to expand their knowledge in the field of computer telecommunications due to business challenges.

Admission requirements and certification, titles to be obtained

Attending courses at the Cisco Network Academy of the University of Sinergija entails attending lectures, working in a specialized network laboratory, learning via the Internet platform and taking exams. The Academy adheres to the strictest global criteria for evaluation and passing, and the degree of successful completion of courses by participants is around 80 percent. By attending courses at the academy, students have the opportunity to obtain certificates that are globally recognized and highly valued by employers.

Application of the course in the economy

At the Cisco network academy of Sinergija University, you can attend courses specialized in working with Cisco network devices (CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration course groups), but also courses in other IT areas (eg NDG Linux Essentials). The academy was founded in 2015 and so far several generations of domestic and foreign students have taken the courses it offers. The quality of the academy’s work is confirmed by the recognition of its candidates by employers in the country and abroad.
