The Student Parliament is a body of the University through which students exercise their rights and protect their interests at the University in accordance with the Law, Statute and other general acts of the University.
The Student Parliament has responsibilities in the area of protecting the rights and interests of students, in the area of ensuring and controlling the quality of higher education at the University, in the area of developing study programs, teaching and improving study conditions and improving student standards, as well as the following tasks:
- elects and dismisses its representatives in the bodies of the University, i.e. faculties and their professional bodies;
- passes general acts on its work;
- establishes working bodies for the preparation of proposals to the bodies of the University, i.e. faculties in connection with issues within its jurisdiction;
- takes positions related to the assurance of teaching quality, the reform of study programs, the analysis of study efficiency and the determination of the number of ECTS points that their representatives will represent in the bodies and professional bodies of which they are members;
- performs other duties in accordance with the Law, Statute and other general acts of the University.
The election procedure and the work of the Student Parliament, as well as the method of electing members of the University Student Parliament, are regulated by the Statute and the general act adopted by the Student Parliament.
The Student Parliament of the University is included in the Union of Students of the Republic of Srpska.
